I/O ports can be found on most of the equipment and are handy, especially in the case of legacy machines that do not support protocols like MTConnect or OPC UA. Our data collection unit is capable of collecting equipment's running data from the I/O ports. The signal from I/O ports usually comes as high or low (0 or 1), and Nytt's data acquisition unit can read the data from the port with high frequency.
We use industry-standard protocols like Fanuc FOCAS, Thinc API, MTConnect, OPC UA, and add more regularly to support most of the machine tools out there.
